Nais magsagawa ni Chairperson ng House Committee on Dangerous Drugs Rep. Robert Ace Barbers ng mandatory drug testing sa mga artista na iniidolo ng publiko lalo na ng mga kabataan.
Ayon kay Barbers, kailangan sumailalim muna sila sa drug testing bago magsimulang gumawa ng mga pelikula at iba pang trabaho.
Ito ay matapos mahuli sa isang buy-bust operation sa Quezon City ang artistang si Dominic Roco at apat pang indibidwal nitong Sabado, Oct. 1.
“Actors, actresses, and other movie celebrities should all be drug-free because they are public figures that are being idolized by the public, particularly the Filipino youth. They would be setting bad examples if they would be involved in the use of drugs, or worse selling drugs,” sabi ni Barbers.
