SINAMPAHAN nitong Huwebes ng demanda sa Quezon City Hall of Justice ng aktres na si Liza Soberano ang isang babaeng netizen na nambastos at nagsabi sa kanya na masarap siyang ipa-rape.
“I was really upset because the fact that it’s a rape joke, it’s not something that should be taken lightly. And the fact that she’s a woman, I would never in a million years do a joke like that,” sabi ni Soberano.
Ikinuwento ng 22-anyos na aktres na sa comments section sa Facebook niya nabasa ang remarks ng isang Melissa Olaes, empleyedo ng isang internet service provider, na sinabing “masarap” daw siyang “ipa-rape.”
“It sounded like, wala na raw akong trabaho so I can do anything I want, ‘di bale na raw masira ang image ko tapos masarap ipa-rape,” ani Soberano na sinamahan ng kanyang manager na si Ogie Diaz.
Ayon kay Soberano, dapat matutunan ng mga tao na maging responsable sa kanilang mga sinasabi sa social media.
“I think it’s about time that people learn the consequences of speaking like that on social media,” sabi ng aktres.
“I know that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, that is true, but at some point, you have to be respectful to others online. I want people to learn that there are consequences to everything like rape jokes [because] that is not a light matter,” dagdag niya.
Ayon sa abogado ni Soberano na si Atty. Jun Lim, malinaw na nilabag ng naturang netizen ang Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 sa pagbitiw ng mga komento.
