PINAGSAMANG Administrative Order sa pagitan ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Games and Amusement Board (GAB) at ng Department of Health (DOH) ang pinalabas kahapon na naglalaman ng guidelines sa conduct ng physical at sports activities sa panahon ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Nagpahayag ng kanyang relief si PSC Chairman Butch Ramirez kung saan ang JAO ay napinalisa matapos ang higit isang buwan na kolaborasyon ng mga naturang ahensiya.
“We all recognize the importance sport plays in building one’s strong immune system, what we just wanted to ensure was that they keep safe and away from the virus while they are doing it,” paliwanag ng sports chief.
Nilagdaan ni Ramirez, ang joint issuance katuwang sina GAB Chairman Abraham Mitra at DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III.
Sakop nito ang non-professional sports sa ilalim ng hurisdiksyon PSC, professional sports sa ilalim the GAB, professional at non-professional persons sa sports tulad ng athletes, coaches, trainors, promoters at iba pang konsernado sa conduct ng sports para sa venue management, local government units, schools at workplaces.
“Kondisyon at requirements para sa conduct ng sports ang ibinibigay para sa ‘five risk severity ratings’ sa high risk (enhanced community quarantine o ECQ) to areas considered low risk or those classified under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ)”.
Pinangunahan naman ni PSC National Training Director Marc Velasco, ang tripartite partnership.
“While all parties worked towards getting the guidelines fine-tuned, they expect to update these guidelines as developments happen in this volatile health crisis in our hands. It is a work in progress, but we are happy that we finally have an official issuance which recognizes the importance of sport in this pandemic. This will help hasten our moving forward,” ani Velasco.
