Pandemic trend sa NCR, bumaba dahil sa 2-weeks MECQ – UP expert

Naniniwala ang isang eksperto sa University of the Philippines (UP) na bumaba ang transmission ng COVID-19 sa National Capital Region (NCR) dahil sa ipinatupad na 2 linggong Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
Ayon kay UP Mathematics Professor Guido David, bumaba ang pandemic trend sa nagdaang 2 linggo kung saan naitala sa 1.1 mula sa 1.5 na naitala noong Hulyo 31.
Naniniwala si David na malaking tulong ang ipinairal na MECQ sa NCR para bumaba ang reproduction number kaya nakamit ang hangaring mapabagal ang COVID-19.
“So we believe that this decrease is genuine and artificial as we look several indicators to see the trend-not just the number of cases but also the number of test results and we actually see a decreasing trend in the reproduction number,” ani David. (Josephine Patricio)
