Napakataas na kalidad sa mababang presyo: PNP nakatipid hanggang P108M sa kontrata ng G2G sa Israel

Kamakailan-lamang nakagawa ng kasaysayan ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa mga kontrata sa pagkuha ng mga kagamitan sa seguridad at depensa sa pamamagitan ng Government to Government (G2G) transaction sa pakikipagtulungan sa Estado ng Israel na pinamumunuan ni Brig. Gen (Ret) Yair Kulas, Direktor ng IMOD-SIBAT, Ministry of Defense ng Estado ng Israel.
Ang nasabing procurement contracts nilagdaan para sa pagbibigay at paghahatid ng mga sumusunod na item:
• 13,457 units of 5.56mm Basic Assault Rifle (BAR) with Emtan Karmiel; 20 units of 7.62mm Light Machine Gun with IWI; Intelligence Component of the PNP Secure, Mobile, Artificial –Intelligence Driven, Real-time (SMART) Policing Program.
Ang G2G mode of aquisition ay alinsunod sa Section 4.2 ng RIRR of RA No. 9184.
“We have pledged to the President that that the PNP will not allow corruption under my leadership, we will be transparent with our transactions and will use our taxpayers’ money wisely”, wika ni PNP chief, PGen Debold Sinas.
“Adding that the contract signing is a clear manifestation of our commitment to further equip our law enforcers with increased capability while working with world-renowed country producer of high-quality firearms and other defense equipment – Israel.”
Ang malaking halaga na nai-save para sa gobyerno ay bahagi ng PNP para sa mga pinakamahusay na kasanayan sa ilalim ng RA 9184 sa pagkuha ng mga tinukoy na kalidad ng kagamitan sa firepower equipment na nakuha sa ilalim ng mission-essential tools, assets at resources.(Gaynor Bonilla)
