MANILA – Senatorial Candidate Manny Pacquiao met with the Governors of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in Aguado Residence in Malacañang, Manila this Monday.

After his sortie in Pangasinan, Pacquiao laid out his vision for a prosperous and unified BARMM .

With a history defined by hard work, resilience, and success, Pacquiao brought the same fighting spirit to to tackle the region’s most pressing issues head-on in a round table meeting with the regions Governors.



From the streets of General Santos City to global boxing stardom, Pacquiao’s rise is a story of perseverance. Now, as a politician, he is channeling that same resilience into the fight for a better future for the people of BARMM.

Pacquiao’s message was clear during his meeting with the governors.

“I know what it’s like to struggle, to fight for a better life. I promise to fight for BARMM, to ensure that no one is left behind.” said Pacquiao

Pacquiao strongly believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. During the meeting, Pacquiao laid his plans to invest heavily in the youth of BARMM by establishing more educational institutions, providing scholarships, and offering vocational training programs.

“We need to invest in our youth, in their future. They deserve the opportunity to succeed,” he emphasized.



He also outlined strategies for job creation, including fostering small businesses, agricultural reforms, and infrastructure development, all aimed at ensuring a stable future for the region’s people.

Access to quality healthcare, particularly in remote areas, is another priority for Pacquiao. He expressed his commitment to improving healthcare facilities, training more healthcare professionals, and addressing critical issues such as maternal health and child mortality.

“Every Bangsamoro deserves to live a healthy life. We will make healthcare a priority,” he pledged.

Pacquiao’s family was also displaced because of war between government troops and rebels in Kibawe, Bukidnon in the 80’s . Pacquiao clearly state his vision for BARMM is peace—a peace not only characterized by the absence of violence but also the presence of opportunities and unity.

Pacquiao is dedicated to ensuring the full implementation of the peace agreements and lasting peace goes beyond security measures to include job creation, education, and improved living standards.

“Peace isn’t just the absence of violence, it’s the presence of opportunity and unity,” Pacquiao remarked.

Corruption remains one of the major obstacles to development, and Pacquiao vowed to fight it relentlessly.

“We cannot build a better future with corruption. Every centavo must go to where it is needed most,” he asserted, highlighting the importance of transparency and accountability in governance.

Pacquiao emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure in driving economic growth. His plans include the development of accessible roads, reliable electricity, clean water systems, and transportation networks.

“Infrastructure is the backbone of progress. It’s time to connect BARMM, to make every region accessible and prosperous,” he declared.

While promoting modernization, Pacquiao also reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Bangsamoro people. He made it clear that development should respect and celebrate the region’s traditions.

“We cannot move forward if we forget who we are. We will protect our traditions and ensure that all voices, especially those of indigenous communities, are heard in the process of governance,” he concluded.

Manny Pacquiao’s vision for BARMM is one of hope, progress, and unity—a future where every Bangsamoro has the opportunity to thrive.

Pacquiao believes that his meeting with the BARMM Governors at Malacañang marks a significant step toward a brighter and more prosperous Bangsamoro region.
