FEU-D nakupo ang third win sa UAAP boys football

SINUWAG ng defending champion Far Eastern University – Diliman ang Ateneo de Manila University, 2-0 Miyerkules ng gabi upang manateling undefeated sa UAAP Season 87 boys’football tournament sa UP Diliman Football Stadium.

Umiskor si striker Joerby Anito sa 48th minute,at substitute Jerriemy Biton nagdeliver two minutes later para iukit ng Baby Tamaraws ang kanilang ikatlong dikit na tagumpay para manateli sa tuktuk ng standings na may nine points.

“Our game plan was to play directly to get behind their backline. I thought that if we did that, we’d have the advantage, (because) our attacking side is more eager and faster. We brought in fast players but then he was not utilized. There were chances but we just didn’t score,” Wika ni FEU-D head coach Jake Morallo pagkatapos ng laban.

Samantala, Ginulpi ng University of Santo Tomas ang Claret School of Quezon City,5-1 habang ang De La Salle zobel pinadapa ang PAREF Southridge, 1-0.

Dahil sa panalo nalagay ang UST sa second place na may goal difference na +7, kasunod ang La Salle (+2).

Nakuha ng Junior Golden Booters ang 3-0 lead sa halftime, nang umiskor ang midfielder Yuan Maniscan sa 31st at 40th minutes,at Joshua Moleje umiskor sa 37th minute.

Nagawa ng Claret ang 1-3 matapos umiskor si Rolando John Torres sa 59th minute. Pero nagawa ng UST na umiskor ng dalawa pang goals mula sa substitute Joshua Balliner sa 82nd minute at Argos Phrixus Alingalan sa stoppage time (90+2).

Geoffrey Marqueses, na produkto ng Villamor Air Base Elementary School, umiskor ng isa para sa La Salle mula sa close range.

Samantala, Puntirya ng FEU-D ang win No.4 sa Sabado laban DLSZ at 2 p.m.; UST makakaharap ang Ateneo alas 4;30 ng hapon at CSQC vs Southridge sa 7 p.m.
