Sen. Grace Poe said creating employment for Filipinos will be a priority of the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist if it gets elected in Congress in the May polls.
Speaking at a grand rally in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Poe said FPJ Panday Bayanihan will lead the way to a sustained and accelerated campaign to create jobs and uplift lives.
“Masisipag at talentado ang mga Pilipino, kailangan lang nila ng oportunidad para ipakita ito at maging produktibo,” she told the crowd in the city, where her father, the late National Artist Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), hailed.
The party-list group, which derived its name from FPJ, earlier built an ecopark in the city to give residents a green space for relaxation and interaction.
“‘Pag nanalo ang FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist, hindi lamang ito ang magiging proyekto sa Pangasinan. Marami pa tayong mga ibibigay na proyekto na makagagawa ng trabaho sa ating mga kababayan,” Poe said.
“Ipagpapatuloy ng FPJ Panday Bayanihan ang mahusay nitong pagseserbisyo simula ng mabuo ito noong 2013 bilang isang foundation. Hindi tayo nito bibiguin,” she added.
FPJ Panday Bayanihan is led by Brian Poe, the senator’s son and former chief of staff as its first nominee. Mark Patron and Hiyas Dolor are the group’s second and third nominees, respectively.
Poe said Brian is aware of the challenging task at hand if the party-list lands a seat in Congress, having worked with her in the Senate.
“Sa gobyerno, kailangan may maipakita tayong resibo ng mahusay na serbisyo, alam ‘yan ng ating mga kababayan,” said Poe, who will finish her term in the Senate in June 2025.
Poe, current chairperson of the Senate committee on Finance, has authored several bills that have become laws and helped eased the Filipinos lives.
Among these are the 10-year validity of driver’s license, free relevant government documents for first-time job seekers, free nutritious meals for school kids, among other laws.
“Patuloy ang pagtulong natin para sa mga nangangailangan, hanggang sa aming makakaya, yan po ay aming ibinibigay,” Poe said.
