Less than five weeks before the May 12 elections, Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa visited several parts of vote-rich Cebu province to seek support for his reelection bid.

Dela Rosa continued his “guerrilla style” campaign earlier this week, visiting Argao, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu City, Mandaue City, Consolacion, Dalaguete, Moalboal, Toledo City and Barili.

In Argao, Dela Rosa was joined by many Cebuanos in a classic boodle fight organized by Mayor Allan Sesaldo and his allies.

Sesaldo and his slate expressed full support to Dela Rosa and raised his hands during the gathering.

Cebuanos in Lapu-Lapu City, Consolacion, Dalaguete, Moalboal, Toledo City and Barili also gave Dela Rosa a warm welcome, many of which asked for a photo with the reelectionist senator.

In Cebu City, Dela Rosa held a house-to-house campaign, interacting mostly with the senior citizens of Barangay Mabolo.

“Hand to hand combat campaigning at Mabolo, Cebu City with Mayor Mike Rama and Barug Party,” Dela Rosa shared.

The reelectionist senator likewise visited Mandaue City where he was gladly welcomed by Mayor Jonas Cortes and his party.

Cortes and Atty. Regal Oliva, a candidate for Mandaue City’s congressional seat, shared photos with the senator where they did Dela Rosa’s campaign pose.

Before visiting Cebu, Dela Rosa brought his campaign to Dumaguete City and Oriental Mindoro where some of the local chief executives expressed full support for his candidacy in the 2025 elections.

The PDP-Laban slate opted to do away with the usual campaign rallies and adjusted their strategy as some local officials could not fully support the opposition’s candidacy due to possible consequences from the Marcos administration.
