Tumatanggap lamanng ang Maynila ng donasyon mula sa mga lehitimong organisasyon
NAGPAHAYAG si Manila City Administrator Bernardito C. Ang na ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Maynila ay tumatanggap lamang ng donasyon mula sa mg duly endorsed ng mga lehitimong organisasyon na iginagalang, matagal na at ito ang lahat ay nasa ayos.
Ipinalabas ni Ang ang pahayag bilang reaksyon sa ulat ng isang news wire agency na ang Manila police ay tumanggap ng mga motorbikes mula sa mga taong naaresto ng NBI at tinaguriang mga espiya. Ang bahay na ito ay tahasang itinanggi ng Beijing government.
“Anybody or any organization that wants to donate is acceptable to the city government, most especially if they are coursed through reputable organizations like the Chinese federation. Most Chinese organizations course through their donations to the federation and it is not for us to confirm or vet when the federation already says everything is in order whenever they donate,” pahayag ni Ang.
“If indeed there is anything suspicious about any donors, it is the job of the Interpol to inform us through the concerned agencies if there is any red notice or whatever that we should be wary about, ” dagdag pa ni Ang.
“Imagine, if the motorcycles were donated to the police then the police should have known,” saad ni Ang.
Sinabi naman ng spokesperson ni Mayor Honey Lacuna at head of communications na si Atty. Princess Abante na ang dinonate na mga motorsiklo saManila Police District na siyam na 2016 models at isang 2015 model ng Sinski motorcycles ay nagkakahalaga ng P14,500.00 bawat isa para sa kabuuang halaga n P145,000.
“The motorcycles were registered with the LTO by them (donors) before the turnover. The Office of the Mayor did not receive cash donations from them. Only the motorcycles for the MPD,” sabi pa ni Abante. (ANDI GARCIA)
