Ibinunyag…Impeachment vs VP Sara ‘papatayin’ sa Senado!

KINUWESTIYON ng isang abogado ang direksyon ni Senate President “Chiz” Escudero kaugnay sa impeachment complaint na inihain laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte na mandato sa ilalim ng Saligang Batas.

Ito ang tanong ni Atty. Howard Calleja kasabay ng akusasyon niya kay Escudero na sinusubukan umanong isabotahe at patayin ang impeachment complaint.

Ani Calleja, paglabag din sa Konstitusyon nang agad i-adjourn ni Escudero ang sesyon ng Senado kungsaan hindi pa natatalakay ang articles of impeachment na isinumite ng House of Representatives noong Pebrero 5.

Matatandaang ang articles of impeachment ay natanggap ng Senado, isang oras bago ipagpaliban ang sesyon ng Senado bandang 7:00 ng gabi ng Pebrero 5.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Calleja na may dalawang araw pa ang Senado sa kanilang legislative calendar dahil ang huling araw ng sesyon ay Pebrero 7.
Binanggit din niya na halos isang oras ang hinintay ng House secretary bago payagang i-turnover ang articles of impeachment.

Una rito, sinabi ni Escudero na maaaksyunan ang impeachment complaint sa Hunyo 2 ngunit, nabago at inilipat na lamang sa huling bahagi ng Hulyo matapos ang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa 20th Congress. Ang reklamo ay isinumite sa Senado ng 19th Congress.

Tanong ni Calleja: “We have questions: Why that unconstitutional rush? Who benefited from Chiz’s premature adjournment? Definitely Sara because there would be a lot of legal questions that could potentially kill the impeachment complaint under the 20th Congress. What is the benefit to Chiz who is known to be interested in the 2028 presidential elections? “Did Chiz put public interest and potentially the country’s national security interest at risk?”

“Nabudol tayo ni Chiz. Just when we are talking of billions of pesos being lost to alleged corruption, just when Sara threatened to have the President and the First Lady killed which would have created unimaginable national instability, here he is trying to foist on us a scenario calculated to kill the impeachment of Sara Duterte. Chiz would not do this without benefiting himself,” hirit ni Calleja.

“My question to Chiz is: you are a lawyer and forthwith is a simple English term. Who are you loyal to?” dagdag pa nito.
