Epanaw Sambayanan Partylist isusulong ang NTF-ELCAC na maging institusyon, hinikayat ang publiko huwag iboto mga pulitikong may kaugnayan sa mga komunista

Ipinangako ng Epanaw Sambayanan Partylist nitong Lunes na tututok ito sa national security at gagawing institution ang National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

Nanawagan din ito sa mga botante na huwag iboto ang mga kandidatong may kaugnayan sa Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

Sa isinagawang “Bakit Kayo Sa Kongreso?” Media Forum sa The Tribute Hotel sa Quezon City, sinabi ni Epanaw Sambayanan first nominee Atty. Marlon Bosantog, na kailangang maging permanente ang pananatili ng NTF-ELCAC bilang isang government institution upang masustina ang pagsisikap na malabanan ang insureksiyon, lalo na ang pangrerecruit ng NPA sa mga kabataang Filipino.

“NTF-ELCAC has proven effective in addressing the root causes of insurgency and bringing genuine development to vulnerable communities. However, its funding has often been politicized and obstructed by those who benefit from conflict. Institutionalizing it will ensure that projects benefiting Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and other affected sectors continue without disruption,”paliwanag ni Bosantog.

Sinabi naman ni second nominee Lorraine Badoy, na ang CPP-NPA-NDF ay infiltrate na sa maraming sectors ng ating lipunan, partikular na ang education system ng bansa, kung saan nagagawa nilang mga combatant ang mga mag-aaral.

“They have turned our schools into recruitment hubs, brainwashing our youth with anti-government propaganda and luring them into the armed struggle. We will work to expose and dismantle these deceptive operations,” ang sabi ni Badoy.

Matagumpay din aniya ang NTF-ELCAC sa pagsusulong ng Barangay Development Program (BDP) na nagpabago ng kaisipan ng mga komunidad na dati’y naloloko lamang ng mga CPP-NPA-NDF.

“The results speak for themselves. People in formerly insurgency-affected barangays have seen what real government service looks like. They no longer need to turn to the false promises of the CPP-NPA-NDF,” paliwanag pa ni Badoy.

Binanatan din ni Badoy ang mga mambabatas na nagbawas sa dating budget ng BDP na P20 milyong piso kada barangay.
