Gela pangarap na natupad sa dance show

PASSION project ni Gela Atayde ang Time To Dance na bagong dance survival reality show ng Nathan Studios at ABS-CBN.

“Actually this is really a passion project of mine. Iyon, it was really pitched to me na magka-dance show,” aniya.

“It’s really a dream of mine naman talaga pero idea po talaga iyon ng Star Magic, direk Lauren [Dyogi], it was really him who believed in me in the first place.

“And of course with the help of my mom who conceptualized all of this.

“It’s really a collaboration of different productions but aside from that kasi I think it’s because my mom would always say na dahil nakita po nila yung puso ko and passion for dance.”

Siyempre pa ang mom na tinutukoy ni Gela ay ang ina niyang multi-awarded actress at producer ng Nathan Studios na si Sylvia Sanchez.

Ayon pa rin kay Gela, “Not just dance itself but the community, this is also somehow an advocacy project for me.

“I think it’s because being in a team, being part of the community I see the ins and outs and what really happens.

“Yung mga kulang, yung mga sobra, and here in Time To Dance I wanted to do this because I want to be able to help those who want to explore dance more, want to learn about dance.

“And not just that, also like inspire yung mga… I had teammates kasi that… weren’t really financially stable enough to fly with us also to HHI.”

Ang team na tinutukoy ni Gela ay ang Legit Status na binubuo ng mahuhusay na dancers mula sa iba-ibang high school at colleges sa Pilipinas na naging kampeon sa World Hip Hop Dance Championship sa Phoenix, Arizona, USA noong 2023.

“So that was when the realization like hit me na I wanna be able to help because I’m privileged enough to and I’m really thankful that I am, and I was given this opportunity to.

“So iyon, it’s really, nabuo siya because of the heart and passion na nakita rin sa akin ni direk Loren and my mom,” wika pa ni Gela na tinaguriang New Gen Dance Champ.

Samantala, ilan sa mga celebrity performers na mapapanood sa Time To Dance bilang guest judges at coaches ay sina AC Bonifacio, Darren Espanto, ang mga sikat na dance coaches na sina Chips Beltran, Lema Diaz, at Jobel Dayrit.

Magsisilbing dance council members naman sina World of Dance Philippines director Vimi Rivera at World of Dance Philippines 3rd place winner Ken San Jose.

Sa unang episode ay ipinakilala ang labimpitong dance hopefuls na sumailalim sa intense training, at gamit ang kanilang husay at passion ay masusubok kung sino ang matitira sa weekly eliminations.

Mapapanood ang Time To Dance tuwing Sabado, 8:30 pm sa A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, MYX, iWantTFC, at sa TFC.
