KATAWANIN nina Milo Marathon Champion Richard Salaño at Christine Hallasgo ang Pilipinas sa 2025 Sydney Marathon matapos pagharian ang kanilang kanya-kanyang division sa National Finals na hosted ng Cagayan de Oro City nakaraang Disyembre 1.

Salaño may oras na 2:26:29 nagwagi kontra SEA Games gold medalist Arlan Arobis Jr.. (2:26:38) Eduard Flores ng General Santos City (2:27:34). Sonny Wagdos nalagay sa fourth sa tiyempong with 2:29:39.

Hallasgo, bronze medalist bronze sa 2023 Cambodia SEAG, nagreyna sa women’s division sa oras na 2:59:29



Artjoy Torregosa ng Agusan del Norte (3:00:28) at Maricar Camacho (3:08:21) ang second at third, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

“Christine and Richard have shown what true champions are made of. Their sheer grit, unyielding discipline, and remarkable perseverance exemplify the values that MILO stands for. We are thrilled to be part of their journey as they step onto the global stage at the 2025 Sydney Marathon. Salaño at Hallasgo ay parehong sabik na iuwi ang karangalan sa bansa at magbigay inspirasyon sa susunod na henerasyon ng Filipino athletes.

“This title is a testament to the years of training, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in my abilities,” sambit ni Salaño matapos masilo ang kanyang unang MILO Marathon title. “I’m excited to compete on the global stage and show the world what Filipino runners can achieve.”

Mahigit 12,600 runners ang lumahok sa MILO Marathon National Finals na ginanap sa unang pagkakataon sa Mindanao.



Samantala, Bulwang Elementary School at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan ang nangibabaw sa kanilang kanya-kanyang division sa cheer dance kumpetisyon, habang Misamis Oriental general Comprehensive High School ang tinanghal na pinakamalaking delegasyon.
