Quiambao kumpirmadong maglalaro sa Gilas sa FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers

KUMPIRMADO na maglalaro ang La Salle star Kevin Quiambao para sa Gilas Pilipinas sa second window ng 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers kahit na nagpapatuloy ang UAAP season 87.

Kinumpirma ito ni Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Al Panlilio Miyerkules sa ginanap na press conference sa Cignal CX center Studio sa Mandaluyong.

Ang UAAP elimination ay matatapos bago magsimula ang laban ng Gilas kontra New Zealand at Hongkong sa Nobyembre 21 at 24, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Ang Green Archers ay kasalukuyang nasa tuktuk ng UAAP standings taglay ang 12-2 win-loss rekord.

“Yes, he (Quiambao) will be joining the team. I think the UAAP has games on the 20th and the 23rd that do not involve La Salle. This was a plan that (was hatched) early January of this year, and this has been envisioned to go all the way to the World Cup in 2027 and hopefully Olympics beyond that,” Wika ni Panlilio.

Binigyan diin ni SBP president ang imortansya na magkaroon ng players na angkop sa sistema ni Gilas head coach Tim Cone.
