Pag-unlad ng film industry isinusulong ng Pangulo

INILIPAT ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa pangangasiwa ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ang Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP).

Ito’y bahagi ng mga hakbang ng pamahalaan upang maitaguyod ang pag-unlad ng film industry.

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order No. 70 na nilagdaan ni PBBM noong Oktubre 2, ang FAP ay pangangasiwaan ng Board of Trustees na pamumunuan ng FAP director general bilang chairperson habang co-chair naman ang DTI secretary.

Kabilang naman sa mga magiging miyembro ng Board ang isang kinatawan mula sa Office of the President (OP); labor secretary; director general ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); head ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP); chairperson ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA); at dalawang private sector representatives ng mga reputable guilds, organizations, at associations sa film industry.
