GM Antonio sasabak sa D’Engineers basketball

KINUMPIRMA ni Chess grand master at basketball enthusiast Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr. ang kanyang paglahok bilang guest player sa 2nd 2nd PTC World Engineering Day basketball tournament ngayon Sabado, March 2, sa Koten Enterprise sa Pasay City

Ang 62-year old Antonio ay maglalaro ng exhibition game sa pagitan ng the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) at ng PTC World na binobou ng players mula sa Philippine Technological Council (PTC) at sa ibang engineering associations na lalaruin bago ang championship game sa Marso 24.

Nakaraang taon, nasungkit ng IIEE ang championship sa parehong age categories.: the Millennials (40-below) at ang Gen X (40-above).

Lalahok para sa Millenials title ngayon taon ay ang the IIEE, Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME), Institute of Electronic Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) at Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines (SAEP).

Ang tournament ay single round robin at crossover semifinal format.

Sa GenX, tatlong players lang — — IIEE, PSME at IECEP —ang maglalaban.

Ang nadagdag ngayon taon, ay ang 3-on-3 tournament na may maximum six players bawat team at anim na engineering association ang nag kumpirma na lalahok ang IIEE, PSME, IECEP, SAEP, Philippine Society of Sanitary Engineers (PSSE) at ang Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP) na magpaparada ng dalawang teams.
