Cool Cat Ash aminadong ‘allergic’ sa romantic love SA kanyang bagong album na ‘I find love so weird’, singer-songwriter Cool Cat Ash takes on a journey of seeking and understanding love.

Ang bagong album ay may 11 tracks na sinulat at kanyang prinoduce ni Cool Cat Ash na kilala rin sa pangalang Ashley Aunor.

After dabbling in the genres of novelty and rock, she now steps into the world of pop leaning into a more chill and lo-fi vibe.

“Hindi ko in-expect na ilalabas ko itong songs,” she said in an interview, “in the first place. Star Music encouraged me to write more upbeat and pop songs because they believed in me, so I’m very happy that they supported me in that way,” said the highly versatile Cool Cat Ash with regards to exploring a new genre.

Sa key track nitong “i find love. so. so. weird,” sinabi ni Cool Cat Ash na kanyang kinatatakutan ang ma-in love.

“It’s all about me finding love so weird kasi medyo allergic ako sa romantic love. I feel like I’m too scared to fall deeply in love and I’m scared of being vulnerable and intimate with anyone.

For this, na-feel ko yung peer pressure mula sa mga taong nahanap na yung taong mahal nila,” she explained during her album launch that was held last Wednesday (Oct. 25).

Cool Cat Ash started singing at a very young age.

Ni-release ang kanyang first album na “Gusto Kong Kumanta” na sinulat ng mahusay na composer na si Alex Catedrilla (SLN).

But then, she had to put her career on hold for her to be able to focus on her studies.

Anyhow, now, she is taking a degree in music production at Berklee College of Music Boston while also working as a songwriter, producer, sound engineer, and DJ.

Anyhow, napili siyang Rock Artist of the Year sa PMPC Star Awards 2022 at Novelty Artist of the Year last 2021 while her song “Mataba” won Novelty Song of the Year.

Parte rin siya ng lumalaking grupo ng songwriting and production duo “Aunorable Productions”, kasama ang kanyang kapatid na si Marion Aunor.

Bilang isang recording artist, nakagawa siya ng several singles like “Changes,” “Best Friend,” and “Gone Too Soon.”
