Gilas Pilipinas Basketball Team pinuri ni Speaker Romualdez sa pagsungkit ng Gold Medal sa 32th SEA GAMES

Pinuri ni House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang buong koponan ng Gilas Pilipinas basketball team sa muling pagsungkit ng korona at pagkuha ng gintong medalya sa 32th Southeast Asian Games sa isang makapigil hiningang finals bout laban sa mabigat na koponan ng Cambodia.

“It is truly inspiring to see the SEA Games basketball crown return to the Philippines. I commend and congratulate not only the players of Gilas Pilipinas but also the whole coaching staff and everyone who contributed to this exhilarating victory,” ayon sa pahayag ni Romualdez.

“You have once again made your country proud! May you all continue to be an inspiration and a source of great encouragement to the Filipino people, especially our youth, in persevering even if the odds are stacked against them,” ani Romualdez.

Muling nabawi ng Gilas Pilipinas ang basketball crown sa SEA Games na ginaganap sa Phnom Penh, Cambodia laban sa score na 80-69.

Matatandaang noong 2022 nang mawala sa kamay ng Pilipinas ang basketball crown matapos mabigo sa Indonesia team.

“But the perseverance of the Gilas Pilipinas team earned us back the championship trophy, even after suffering a loss to Cambodia in the early stages of the SEA Games. It is the hallmark of the Filipino fighting spirit and resilience that we can all learn from,” saad pa ni Romualdez.
