HATAW na ang Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sa lahat ng aspeto ng pareparasyon partikular ang pagkakapit- bisig nito sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) lalo ngayong papalapit na ang sandali ng katotohanan para sa pinaghahandaang 32nd Southeast Asian Games saCambodia sa Mayo.

“Hopefully, we’ll be officially meeting with the PSC not later than Wednesday next week to get the task rolling,” wika ni baseball association chief Chito Loyzaga, ang Team Philippines’ chef de mission para saMay 5 to 17 SEA Games.

Iprinograma ng Cambodia ang 608 events in 49 sports, mas malaki kesa 530 events in 56 sports noong 2019 edition na ini- host ng Pilipinas at 526 events sa 40 sports ng Vietnam nitong nakaraang taon.

“With that goal, we’re looking at a more than 800-athlete delegation and a total delegation of 1,200—counting the coaches, medical and administrative staff,” ani pa Loyzaga

Base sa aproprasyon ng national budget sa taong ito,P250 million ang alokasyon para sa SEA Games preparation at participation.

“That’s one of our main concerns with the PSC. After we have finalized the entry by numbers, we’ll be ready for some pencil-pushing and calculation and come up with an actual cost,” aniya pa.

“PSC board already constituted with a quorum of a chairman and three commissioners, we are confident that discussions on the Cambodia SEA Games could be done swiftly.”

Si Tolentino at ang bagong nombra sa PSC na si Bachmann ay nagkadaupang-palad na sa isang courtesy dinner nitong weekend.

“As a former athlete, I aim to win, always go for the win. But you can’t win all the time,” aniya “It will be a tough challenge in Cambodia.”
