PAPARATING na ang summer. It’s baseball/ softball season at the diamond.
Keiji Katayama,a Japanese national with Filipino heart will be very busy again in helping Philippine baseball development this coming season,collegiate( UAAP) ang national team training preparing for the scheduled international competitions.Si Katayama ay dekada nang nakabase sa Pilipinas.
He helped a lot of ball players collegiate and grassroot to develop their skills in the sport that is considered a religion and number one pastime in Japan- the sport of baseball.
Para malubos ang kanyang pagtulong sa Pinoy ay nagtatag siya ng akademya sa larangan -ang Katayama Baseball Academy ( KBA) para sa mga starters hanggang adult baseball and softball enthusiasts.
Purely for the love of baseball and for Filipino friends,he is extending his arms and expertise in his noble endeavour and advocacy indeed without expecting material return and even spending his own resources para happy all.
This coming UAAP Season, he will be supporting de la Salle head coach Joseph Orillana as mentor/ consultant at the bullpen.
“ I will support DeLa Salle University head coach Joseph Orillana.
Philippine baseball team will participate in East Asia Cup in July,Asian Games in August and Asian Championship in October.
If local baseball tournaments are held,my team KBAStars will participate in them.I will be very busy in baseball activities”,ani Katayama.
Si Keiji ay miyembro ng PH national baseball team coaching staff na naka- gold noong 30th SEAGames Philippines 2019.
