ISANG panukalang batas ang inihain ni Bohol Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor na layong pabilisin ang proseso ng dissolution of marriage at annulment sa bansa.
Sa ilalim ng House Bill 9774, mula sa Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) ay ipinalilipat na sa Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) at sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang pag-hawak sa family law cases partikular sa annulment at marriage dissolution.
Layunin ng Family Reform Act na alisin ang red tape na siyang nagpapatagal sa proseso.
Oras na maibaba ang desisyon ng religious authorities, binibigyan ang Office of the Civil Registrar at Philippine Statistics Authority na mailagay sa government official record ang annulment at marriage dissolution. (Henry Padilla)
