Lakers’ 17th on LeBron’s 17th

Muling ipinakita ni LeBron James na siya pa rin ang pinakamagaling na basketball player sa mundo. On his 17th season in the NBA, he led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th title.
Nahirang din siyang Finals MVP for the fourth time with near triple-double averages, leading the Lakers in points, rebounds and assists. Siya ang unang player na naging Finals MVP with three different teams, winning the award twice with the Miami Heat, once with the Cleveland Cavaliers and now with the Lakers.
Pinalakas din ni LeBron ang kanyang claim sa pagiging greatest of all time (GOAT) kung saan ang kanyang main rival ay ang idolo niyang si Michael Jordan.
Magkaiba ang landas na tinahak nina Jordan at LeBron. Jordan won six titles and six Finals MVP with one team (Chicago Bulls) and one coach (Phil Jackson). LeBron won with three teams (Heat, Cavaliers and Lakers) and with three different coaches (Erik Spoelstra, Ty Lue and Frank Vogel). LeBron also went to the Finals with two other coaches noong nasa Cavalies siya – Mike Brown and David Blatt.
Jordan was undefeated in the Finals in six tries, LeBron only won four pero nakapasok siya sa Finals sa 10 pagkakataon. Jordan thrived under the triangle offense habang si LeBron ay walang partikular na sistemang pinipili. Jordan won his titles with a great two-way player in Scottie Pippen as sidekick while LeBron showed he can win with an off-guard (Dwyane Wade), a point-guard (Kyrie Irving) and a center-forward (Anthony Davis) as his sidekick.
At least for now, sa tingin ko ay ahead pa rin si Jordan dahil sa kanyang anim na championships at anim na Finals MVP awards. Pero kung mapapantayan ni LeBron ang anim na kampeonato at anim na Finals MVP ni Jordan ay hands down na siya na ang pipiliin ko.
Hindi malabong makadalawa pa si LeBron dahil solido ang kanilang koponan and they can add another good player from free agency. Katunayan ay heavy favorites ang Lakers sa mga sports books para manalo next season.
Ang kalaban na lang ngayon ni LeBron ay ang Father Time, which is undefeated.
