Erwin Tulfo nagbalik sa primetime newscast ng PTV

“PARA sa Bayan” (For the Nation).

‘Ýan ang misyon na nagtutulak sa broadcast journalist na si Erwin Tulfo lalo na ngayong pinangungunahan niya ang PTV’s primetime newscast, ang ‘Úlat Bayan.’

“More than ever lalo na ngayong may pandemic, kailangan ng Pinoy ng constant and reliable news source.

“That is why I am here at the government’s premier station to do that exactly.”

Kasama ni Tulfo sa team ang mga batikang broadcaster na sina Aljo Bendijo, Alex Santos at Dianne Querer para sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na programa sa PTV.

Kasama sa binagong newscast na ‘Ulat Bayan’ ang pagbibigay ng exclusive reports at investigative series, bukod pa sa comprehensive coverage ng national at local reports.

Bukod kay Tulfo ay nakapagbigay na rin ng special report sa ‘Ulat Bayan’ ang iba pang anchors na sina Querer, Bendijo at Santos. Kasama sa mga report na ‘ýon ang malawakang topics mula sa public accountability, pumapalpak na public officials at mga kontrobersiyal na government projects.

“We are happy our General Manager, Katkat De Castro, is herself a former journalist and producer. She is encouraging us to do what needs to be done to make our show at par with other mainstream programs,” dagdag pa ni Tulfo.

Sa ngayon ay tinatawag sina Erwin, Aljo, Alex at Dianne bilang Power 4.

Ang Power 4 ay kombinasyon ng ilang dekadang journalistic experiences upang i-level up ang state-run television network.

“For the four of us, we discuss what we need to banter on air to present things in their best light.

“Pandemic na nga so we try to lighten up and be inspirational also. We see to it that we end with a happy and hopeful note too,” sabi pa ni Tulfo.

So far, naging maganda naman ang reaksiyon ng viewers at marami ang natutuwa sa binagong PTV.
