Kailangan pa rin ng Travel Authority!

Tanong ko naman muna sa inyo ay ganito…”wala na bang COVID-19 o ang nakamamatay na virus? Mayroon na bang bakuna laban sa COVID-19″?

Kaya simple lang ang kasagutan sa katanungan ng nakararami…kung kailangan pa ba ng Travel Authority kahit na emergency situation. Opo kailangan pa at kailanman ay hindi pa binabawi ang kalakaran na ito.

Naging masalimuot na isyu nitong nakaraang araw ang TA makaraang may mga loko-loko at walang magawa na naglagay sa FB na hindi na raw kailangan ng TA. Ibig sabihin ay libre na raw ang lahat para bumiyahe.

Ang masaklap pa sa inilagay sa FB para ito ay maging kapani-paniwala ay pinalabas na ang nag-isyu ng direktiba ay ang National Task Force on COVID-19.

Ba’t nga ba may mga ganitong klaseng nilalang, walang magawa sa buhay. Mga pu…sa kayo!

Ano pa man, nilinaw naman ng Joint Task Force COVID na pinamumunuan ni PNP Deputy Chief for Operations at Chief din ng JTF COVID P/Lt. Gen. Guillermo T. Eleazar na ang kumalat sa social media ay isang fake news o disinformation. Meaning, walang katotohanan ang lahat.

“The disinformation through a social card being circulated in the social media which apparently attempts to make it appear that the National Task Force on COVID-19 has already lifted all the restrictions for all travels of the people now that most part of the country are already under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

Para mas kapani-paniwala pang totoo ang information, ginamit ng mga ungas sa social media ang lumang photo ni Eleazar. Batid naman natin na ang JTF COVID ay ang official implementing arm ng NTF on COVID-19.

“We encourage our netizens to be responsible in what they post and share. We must only rely on legitimate sources especially if it is related to the COVID-19. This kind of disinformation is dangerous because it involves the safety of our kababayan from this deadly coronavirus,” pahayag ni Eleazar.

Katunayan nga, nang makarating kay Eleazar ang fake news, agad niyang nilinaw ito na walang katotohanan ang lahat para biglang babala ang publiko at hindi malito.

E sino ang dapat maging “armado” ng TA pagtawid sa borders?

A. For APORs:

1. There is no need for a Travel Authority if the travel in any part of the country is work-related;

2. APORs, however, must show a valid identification card and/or any document proving that their travel is work-related in order to be allowed to pass at the Quarantine Control Points (QCPs), or border control checkpoints;

3. But if the travel is by air or by sea, APOR must secure a Medical Clearance Certificate that should be shown to the airport and seaport authorities, EXCEPT if the sea travel is a short island-to-island travel in a province or a region and that the APOR has been doing the travel as part of his/her daily work routine;

4. The travel of APORs, however, is subject to the rules and regulations of the receiving Local Government Units (LGUs).

B. For Locally Stranded Persons (LSI) and Emergency Travelers:

1. All LSIs and Emergency Travelers must secure a Travel Authority if the travel involves crossing the border of Metro Manila, a province, and an HUC;

2. The travel of LSIs and Emergency Travelers is subject to the rules and regulations of the receiving Local Government Units (LGUs).

In order to secure a Travel Authority, the following must be accomplished:

1. A Medical Clearance Certificate from the City or Municipal Health Office;

2. The Medical Clearance Certificate must be submitted to the City or Municipal Task Force on COVID-19 through the Local Police Help Desks;

3. Coordination will be made by the City or Municipal task force with the receiving LGUs for the date of the travel;

4. The City or Municipal Task Force on COVID-19, through the local police where the application for travel is submitted, will release the Travel Authority indicating the date of the travel and other pertinent details.
