KAHIT paano ay may magandang epekto ang pandemic na dulot ng Covid19 sa Viva Artist Agency talent na si Phoebe Walker. Dahil kasi marami siyang oras ngayon, nasimulan niya ang business na chili oil na tinawag niyang Krunchy Garlik Chili Oil at Ekstra Spicy Chili Oil. Ito ay sariling creation ng aktres.

Ngayon nga ay dumarami na ang loyal customers ni Phoebe dahil sa kanyang masarap at nakagaganang chili oil.

Ito ba ang kanyang first business venture? Esplika ni Phoebe, “I’ve tried small businesses before pero ito pong chili garlic, it’s something I thought of to keep me busy during this time. My original plan was to launch my own bikini line pero Covid happened, so di maganda ang timing po.”

Ang first business niya ay sa pagkain din, pero matagal na raw niyang itinigil ito.

Paano nagsimula ang idea na pasukin niya ang chili oil business? “Hilig ko po ang maanghang kasi, may gusto akong gayahin na natikman ko before na ‘di ko na nahanap sa market. So, I researched recipes, then incorporated them and made my own po.

“Had my family and friends try it, tapos masarap daw and in a week, I started selling na po. It’s doing well and happy ako kasi hands-on ako sa business, it really keeps me distracted and gives me direction and motivation ngayon,” wika pa ni Phoebe.

Pahabol pa niya, “So I learn and adapt and hopefully for my future businesses na plano ko, I can also apply what I’ve learned now.”

Kasing hot ba niya ang kanyang tindang chili oil? “Mas spicy po ako, hahahaha! Joke lang po,” nakangiting sambit pa niya.

May mga celebrity customers na rin ba siya at online sellers? “Yes mayroon po, my friends buy din and I also give it away for promotion din po. Marketing expense kumbaga, hehehe…

“I have one in Valenzuela and one in Pasig pa lang po, mostly at retail po customers ko. Pero nabebenta naman, naka-display din po ako ngayon sa three locations, two in Pasig and one in Mckinley. So, I see the growth naman po kahit slowly,” aniya pa ukol sa kanyang resellers.

Sa mga gustong umorder, paano ang dapat nilang gawin? “Yes, online po, contact me thru my Fb or IG page @silling.silli then may instructions doon on how to order. I accept resellers also, para lahat kikita,” aniya pa.

Sa gitna ng pandemic, positive pa rin ang pananaw sa buhay ni Phoebe.

“Ang wish ko po of course magka-vaccine, but moreover I know this pandemic has taught us a lot of things, not just about ourselves but how much we count on each other to survive. Sana hindi bumalik sa rati, but we move on into a better and more sustainable community for everyone.

“Mas masarap sa pakiramdam na nakakatulong sa mga nangangailangan kahit di branded lahat gamit mo, you know you are blessed dahil nakakatulong ka ‘pag may lumalapit. That’s the life I choose po. Kaya Thank you God.”

Incidentally, kabilang sa projects ni Phoebe ngayon ang Cignal TV’s Bella Bandida, starring Ryza Cenon; upcoming movie with Alex Medina titled Malicdem de Matam (Close Your Eyes), at nakatakda rin niyang gawin ang isang international series na itinuturing niyang big project at malalaking blessing sa kanya.
