TAKE-OUT, FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE SA MAYNILA 24/7 NA – ISKO

UPANG makalikha ng trabaho at matulungan ang mga nasa negosyo ng pagkain sa lungsod sa gitna ng pandemya ay naglabas ng executive order si Manila Mayor Isko Moreno na pinapayagan ang mga negosyo na may kinalaman sa pagkain na mag-operate ng kanilang take-out at delivery services sa loob ng 24 oras, araw-araw.

Kasabay nito ay inanunsyo rin ni Moreno ang pagbabalik operasyon ng mga restaurants sa ilalim ng GCQ, ngunit ito ay pinapayagan lamang sa 30 percent venue capacity “provided that they strictly adhere to minimum public health standards at all times as set by the government such as but not limited to social distancing protocols.”

“Said restaurants may also be allowed to operate beyond the curfew hours of the city provided that they shall cater only to those authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) as provided under Manila City Ordinance or IATF Regulations,” ayon sa sinasaad ng Executive Order No. 35 ni Moreno.

Binanggit pa ni Moreno na ang mga establishments ay dapat ding sumunod sa itinakdang protocols ng Department of Tourism (DOT) o ng joint guidelines na ipinalabas ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE.

Ang EO na ipinalabas ni Moreno noong Miyerkules ng gabi na pinatotohanan ni Secretary to the Mayor Bernie Ang, ay nagbibigay diin na kailangan ang unti-unting pagbubukas ng mga negosyo upang mabuhay ang ekonomiya sa lungsod, partikular sa food and restaurant industry at babalansehin ito ng demands mula sa publiko na ayon sa kanya ay, “may serve as stimulus of economic growth.”

“We must learn to live while there is COVID-19 and at the same time, we must learn to go back to work safely. Life and livelihood must be addressed together for us to survive this battle,” ayon pa kay Moreno.

Matatandaan na mula sa modified enhanced community quarantine, ang buong National Capital Region, kung saan bahagi ang Maynila ay inilagay na sa General Community Quarantine mula August 19 hanggang 31, na inanunsyo pa ni President Rodrigo Duterte.

Ang National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF), kasama ang ilang miyembro ng gabinete ay nagsagawa ng consultation sa mga local chief executives ng Metro Manila, at inaprubahan ang transition protocols sa Metro Manila simula noong August 19, 2020.

Sa inaprubahang transition protocols, pinapayagan ang operasyon ng dine-in restaurants ngunit mayroong capacity requirement na itatakda ng local government unit na nakakasakop dito. (Andi Garcia)
