PSC: ATHLETES’ ALLOWANCES MATATANGGAP NA ASAP

SISIMULAN na ngayon ng Philippine Sports Commission ang bagong sistema ng proseso sa pama­mahagi ng kaukulang sistema ng allowan­ces ng mga atleta ng bansa na nasa kalinga ng naturang ahensi­yang pang-sports ng pamahalaan.
“For deposit na today at matatanggap na nila (athletes) kaagad, mabilis naman ang transaksiyon.We apologize for the slight delay in the posting of allowances but rest assured that these will be released by early this week as we have finalized the necessary requirements for the effect of this batch’s posting under the new system,” pahayag ni Exe­cutive Director Atty. Guillermo B Iroy, Jr. “These will be depo­sited to Landbank. Paliwanag din ni Atty. Iroy.
“We shifted systems, in coordination with our depository bank. It was one of the ways we saw to tighten up our process in connection with the payrolling of employees and national team members. We had to go through the details one by one to check .”
Sinabi naman ni Chief of staff and National Training Director Marc Edward Velasco na bagama’t nakaka-stress ang naturang antala ay mainam nang may mga maitama sa sistema.” We issued an advisory to the national team to ­advise them of the ­delay and the cause of it. We understand that with the crisis raging, the delay is very stressful but the corrections were also needed.”
Kamakalawa ay hiniling ni Senate Committee on Sports head Senator Bong Go na ipamahagi na ng naturang ahensiya ang allowances ng mga atleta ng bansa na higit nilang kailangan ngayong panahon ng pandemya.(Danny Simon)
