ANG Philippine Sports Commission’s (PSC) National Sports Coaching Certification Course ay patungong online magmula ngayon, July 27.
Ang proyekto ay sa ilalim ng Philippine Sports Institute’s (PSI) Sports Education and Training Program, ang NSCCC au bumuwenamano saTagum City noong 2018, sa Legazpi City at Davao City noong nakaraang taon.
Ang Visayas ang unang hataw ng ‘online coaches’ certification, kung saan ang slots ay puno na sa 1,090 registrants.
“The present situation in the country should not deter us from continuing our programs and services to the sports community, specifically in enhancing the competencies of our coaches in the schools and the LGUs,” sambit ni PSC oversight commissioner for Visayas Ramon Fernandez.
Ang mga Sports coaches sa elementary at high school student teams sa Visayas ang inisyal na batch ng online learners para sa course Level 1 modules sa Sports Philosophy, Sports Pedagogy, Sports Psychology, Sports Physiology, Talent Identification, at Sports Ethics.
Ang mga lecturers ay sina PSC-PSI sports education dean Prof. Henry Daut, PSC-PSI sports psychology head Dr. Karen Katrina Trinidad, PSC-PSI sports physiology head Prof. Josephine Joy Reyes, PSC-PSI sports specialist Prof. Luis Serafin Cosep, at Fr. Fonz Suico, CSSR.
Pinaghalong synchronous at asynchronous learning methods ang ipapatupad gamit ang Google Meet at Google Classroom tools.
“More coaches from other regions nationwide will have the opportunity to avail of Level 1 modules later this year,” wika naman ni PSI Sports Education Head Henry Daut.
Ang Luzon ay magkakaroon ng kanilang sessions para sa Region 1 at CAR mula August 10 hanggang 13, habang ang Mindanao ay lalarga sa Region 10 mula August 17 hanggang 20.
“The three-level course program, in partnership with MILO Philippines, aims to prepare coaches to meet the demands of their responsibility and ensure a vibrant sporting experience for athletes through the enhancement of their competencies and skills. Among its objectives is the establishment of a national standard for sports coaching in the country,”ani pa Fernandez. (Danny Simon)
